TEST DRIVE MEME

Hey, so you've read the info and you know the premise! It's time to have a little fun doing that test drive thing before we all plunge into that Mock Week, right? So hey, have fun! The setting of the mock trial is going to be Wild West-inspired. That sort of cheesy Wild West flavor that's got maybe a little grit to it, right? You're free to do whatever you want with the locations and amenities, since it's a TDM and all. Feel free to have some fun making things up.
And now....
PROMPTS:
A. DOWNTIME!
1. Arrival! Hey, you've just woken up in this weird Old West town with some weird glasses on your face! Maybe you should mess around with those... or maybe you should leave the room and figure out who else the heck is here. It can't just be you, right?
2. Daily life! So you're stuck in this town. There's an invisible wall around the place, and there's some creepy rules encouraging you to start murdering each other. But... maybe you should just hang out with the other people who are here? You don't wanna get your murder on right away, do you?
3. Challenge! Hey. You're playing a stupid minigame. Pick a Mario Party minigame, or some kind of dumb video game minigame that's a huge departure from the normal gameplay. You're doing that now. Have fun!
4. Investigation! I'm guessing some of you are a little more proactive than others, so you might want to do a little bit of poking around the setting! With a friend, because two heads are better than one! Have fun with that.
B. MURDER!
1. Mmmmotive! So whoever's responsible for you being here has decided you've spent a little too much time not murdering people, and they've decided to give you a little extra push! But... what is that push? Maybe your family and friends back home seem like they're being held hostage, or maybe they're going to leak your deepest secret. Or maybe it's something that doesn't really affect you at all... but it might affect someone else a little more strongly.
2. Murder! YOU'D BETTER GET READY TO DIE. Or someone in your sights had better get ready to die. It's one or the other. Probably.
3. Body discovery! The best part of waking up.... is finding a corpse of one of the other players. Maybe it's a friend, maybe it's someone you hated, maybe it's someone you barely knew. Either way, you're going to have to play amateur sleuth and try to figure out whodunnit!
4. Trial! All the evidence has been found, so it's time... to talk it out! Who did the thing? Did you do the thing? You'd better figure out, or your life may be on the line.
5. Boss fight! Well, you picked the culprit, but they're not going down without a fight. Have fun fighting the mutant, monstrous version of whoever it was!
6. Afterparty! Well, that was definitely something new and different, huh. Probably pretty traumatic for everyone involved! It's time to regroup and maybe have a little food and stare at the wall for a while.

B1
Soren is one of the many he is watching carefully, though not out of malice; in fact, he winds up walking toward Soren, trying not to crowd in on him, but...]
Soren, do you have a minute?

The mage doesn't expect someone to approach him. Not like this.
He opens his mouth to say something, but closes it right after. He recognizes the man , Sigurd -- he has striking blue hair and sometimes it does make him think of Ike. ]
What is it?
[ Still, his words sound forced out as if it were a chore, bordering on unpleasant, as he can't help but appear guarded. ]

I wanted to check in with everyone after all of that. [The motive, and all. Sigurd doesn't want to give it any sort of name.] I know that what their aiming at could hit far too close to home. While I believe in us all to present a united front, I want to help out in any way I can.
[...god help this man, he's an optimist.]
I was wondering if you might want someone to lend an ear to your troubles.

[ His words are enunciated slowly and with a hint of disbelief. Some people have too much faith in others, and though he's certainly held discussions with the other man before, someone still believing so better of people is always such a contrast to his own way of thinking. ]
Why would I want to do that? Here, confiding in someone could easily lead to someone else taking advantage of what they've learned from that person.
[ Among other things. ]

[Even as dumbfounded as Sigurd sounds, he understands that much for reasons he has not discussed. But he still holds firm. He has to think of something, anything...]
Then please, allow me to put myself in just as much danger as you would. If that may prevent something from happening, I will do anything I can.
[It's probably no secret that he holds himself accountable for not being able to do more to prevent murders, but he's...trying? It's not the best idea, but it's an attempt.]

However, Soren doesn't exactly expect the offer--maybe because it's to him of all people and it is similarly no secret that he can be rather unpleasant in his interactions. Though his expression does well to cover that, despite how irrational he can be in anything concerning his literal biggest secret. ]
Why do you care so much? We barely know each other.
no subject
[...Despite those words, though, Sigurd's hard expression that he took while speaking of that goes a little softer. Not a happy sort of softness or anything, but a little more solemn.]
And secrets...they've played a part in the war at home. I don't want us all to destroy ourselves over them.

Easy to read, easy to account for. So for while he doesn't necessarily trust him yet (Soren has a hard time trusting anyone normally, mind you), he finds it difficult to find any dishonesty in him. Even if a little voice in his head reminds him logically and constantly that people can be hiding another side to them. ]
And people say chivalry is dead.
[ His tone is dry and harsh, but he's...well. He's not exactly rebuffing him, but he's sliding into something closer to his regular unpleasant attitude. ]
So, in addition to all of that, you've basically chosen me because you believe that I'm at risking of acting.
